Within the local area, guests are able to visit the Great Orme, the geology, wildlife, archaeology and landscape of the Great Orme (Pen-y-Gogarth) on the Creuddyn Peninsula is of such importance that much of the headland has been designated a Special Area of Conservation, a site of special scientific interest and a heritage coast. In order to ascend the Great Orme you have three options: Walk, Tram or Cable Car.
Whilst visiting the top of the Orme, why not take in the 4,000 year old Bronze Age Copper Mines. Over the past 21 years mining engineers, cavers and archaeologists have been slowly uncovering more tunnels and large areas of the surface landscape to reveal what is now thought to be the largest Prehistoric mine so far discovered in the World.
Alternatively why not try Llandudno’s Ski & Snowboard Centre. situated 415ft above sea level the ski slope boasts spectacular views of Llandudno and the Irish Sea, the latest perma snow (tm) surface, training slopes, 750 metre 'Cresta Ride' toboggan run, Alpine adventure golf course.
You could even take a trip to Snowdon - the views are breathtaking and on a sunny day a trip to the summit is a must. Returning back via Betws-y-coed is a journey well worth taking. We are able to take group bookings of up to 60 people and will organise your trip for you if you'd would like to take the stress out of booking your trip.
The Victorian pier, is one of Llandudno's greatest attractions. At 2,295 foot long it is the longest pier in Wales and one of the finest recreational piers in the United Kingdom.
Bodnant Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the UK, spanning some 80 acres and is situated above the River Conwy on ground sloping towards the west and looking across the valley towards the Snowdonia range.
Welsh Mountain Zoo - h igh above Colwyn Bay (4 miles away) with panoramic views and breathtaking scenery, its beautiful gardens are home to this caring conservation zoo. Roam the wooded pathways, relax on the grassy slopes and spend a lovely day learning about many rare and endangered species from Britain and around the world including Snow Leopards, Chimpanzees, Red Pandas and Sumatran Tigers!
Venue Cymru - Set beneath the glorious foothills of Snowdonia and occupying spectacular views out to sea, Venue Cymru is one of the finest locations for professionally managed conferences in Wales, also hosting West End shows, the International Concert Series 2008/09 and numerous Operas. The Venue Cymru Arena is also an ideal gig venue providing space for up to 2500 standing. Acts to have performed in the Arena so far include: Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, Mike Peters, Status Quo and Ian Brown.
